Music comes from two rooms built for it.
Palmland Studio, Crevillent. Built in 2022 for immersive music, one of the few official Dolby Atmos® Music studios in Spain. Studio One, «The Whide», is the 9.1.6 reference room. Studio Two, «Arabic Cave», is 7.1.4 and looks the way it sounds.
Where the sound comes from
Whoever works in a room like this and wants to deliver a finished immersive mix on several routes exports it three or four times from different tools and hopes the same thing comes out. Every target format has its own limits, its own conventions, its own traps. None of them talk to each other.
And for decades spatial sound was tied to money, not to skill: licences, certifications, hardware in the five-figure range. Spatial sound was there for Hollywood and for cars above a certain price. A producer in a bedroom with something spatial in mind could not get past that fence.
Both observations were made in these two rooms. saimox was born here, and it is still built and checked here: the format, the studio application, the players, on the sixteen speakers of the reference room.
The two rooms
Studio One, «The Whide»The reference room: Dolby Atmos Music 9.1.6. Nine speakers around you, a subwoofer, six above. Everything that has to be right is decided here.
Studio Two, «Arabic Cave»7.1.4, built like a dream of a thousand and one nights. Tea, cushions, and a mix that sounds the way the room looks.
What happens here
Our own productions: The Seamphony and STRiNX are written, produced and mixed here, in Dolby Atmos 9.1.6.
Development: saimox is developed and tested here, on real speakers, not on a spec sheet.
And a few friends of the house. The rooms are not for hire at the moment; they are booked with our own work.
